Itinerary

Your Safari Summary:

Day 1: Arrive Entebbe Airport, pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat trip on Kazinga channel

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Day 5: Exit Bunyonyi and transfer to lake Mburo National Park

Day 6: Morning bush walk and transfer to Entebbe Airport to catch flight out.

 

  • Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Upon an early arrival, you will be received by a Rada Safaris assigned driver/guide who will welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The highlights of this park include: the rolling plains of Uganda’s second largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. Will have an hour stop in Mbarara in order to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check in to your accommodation to relax for the Evening. .

    Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 2: Game drive (AM) and afternoon boat trip on the Kaiznga Channel

    Have your breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park and look out for: lions, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch in Queen Elizabeth, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

  • Day 3: Exist Queen and transfer to Bwindi.

    After breakfast, check out of the accommodation and start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. As you exit queen Elizabeth NP enjoy a game drive through the Ishasha sector where the biggest attraction is the tree climbing lions among other game. The chance of spotting these is always high as they have turned these to homes. Continue out to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home to Almost half of the world’s remaining mountain Gorilla population. upon arrival at the lodge, check in and gain some energy for the slightly strenuous trekking activity the next day.

    Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

    Wake up early and make your way to the assembling point to undertake the short briefing on the dos and don'ts of Gorilla trekking. The UWA guide will explain more about the forest and the activity then embark on the search for the gorillas through the sheer beauty of a natural forest filled with different species of birds and other forest animals. Once you have located the majestic gorillas ensure to enjoy the memorable time with them as instructed. After, head on back to the lodge for a hot lunch and head on down to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

  • Day 5: Exit Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

    Enjoy an early morning breakfast, check out of the accommodation and embark on your journey to lake Mburo National park. Located in the western part of Uganda, Lake Mburo National park is the smallest of the savannah based National parks in Uganda and derives its name from lake Mburo; which is one of the main lakes in the park of the over 13 lakes with in. The park is blessed with a number of game with some only limited to it such as the eland and some zebra. It also has impala, Giraffes, leopards (Rare to Spot), buffaloes, and many more animals within it. On reaching this park you will check in and enjoy lunch then set off to the park for the afternoon game drive in an effort to spot these animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Exit Lake Mburo NP and transfer back to the Airport

    After breakfast head out for a morning (bush) walk safari guided by and UWA armed ranger and you will have a close encounter with the zebras, Eland, giraffes, buffaloes and among more and the depart from lake Mburo NP and head on to the airport. Along the way pass by the Uganda Equator for a memorable photo moment and also a very educative session with experiments performed at the line that separates the earth into northern and southern Hemisphere.
